About Ozone Testing Kit

This residual Ozone Test Kit uses DPD Colourimetric method to measure dissolved Ozone levels in water upto 1.0 ppm.

The Kit includes a Colour Comparator with Least Count of 0.1 ppm and DPD tablets enough for testing 50 water samples.

This Kit is useful in following industries, where Ozone is used for disinfection:

  • Mineral Water / Bottled Water
  • Drinking Water
  • Swimming Pool
  • Cooling Towers
  • Process Water for food industry
  • Ultra Pure Water etc.

 Specifications :

  • Range: 0 to 1 ppm
  • Least count : 0.1 ppm
  • No. of tests : 50

In Swimming Pool water treatment, Ozone is normally introduced in the water circulation system and then removed prior to re-entry of water in the pool. In other water treatment systems, Ozone residual is maintained in water. In all these cases, accurate measurement of residual Ozone is essential to ensure required residual or effective removal.

The DPD method provides a simple means of measuring Ozone residual up to a level of 1.0 ppm. Other disinfectants such as Chlorine are frequently used in conjunction with Ozone. Supplementary procedures are, therefore, provided for separate determination of these residuals.

Ozone in water has to be measured on site itself, due to its very short residual time. This Kit provides a simple and convenient tool to quickly check Ozone level in water.

Easy and Reliable Ozone Detection

This ozone testing kit employs a straightforward colorimetric method, requiring only a few simple steps to yield fast results. With no need for electricity or pressurized systems, users can perform tests in various environments safely. Clear instructions and color charts aid in interpretation, making the process accessible to professionals and non-experts alike.

Versatile Application and Robust Design

Specifically engineered for both air and water ozone monitoring, the kit is portable, lightweight, and comes in a sturdy box making it ideal for laboratory, industrial, and field use. Its safe chemical reagents, robust packaging, and specimen holders support simultaneous testing of multiple samples, enhancing throughput and reliability.

Accurate Results for Informed Decision-Making

With a measuring range from 0.01 ppm to 5.0 ppm and an accuracy of 0.05 ppm, the kit is suitable for ozone monitoring in water treatment facilities, research laboratories, and industrial process control. Rapid visual results within two minutes enable timely decisions, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

FAQs of Ozone Testing Kit:

Q: How do I use the Ozone Testing Kit for detecting ozone?

A: To use the Ozone Testing Kit, simply collect your water or air sample in the provided test tube, add the reagent using the dropper, and wait for a color change. Compare the resulting color with the provided chart to determine the ozone concentration. Detailed instructions are provided in the manual for safe and accurate operation.

Q: What types of samples can the kit analyze and what is the detection range?

A: This kit is suitable for both water and air samples, with a test range from 0.01 ppm to 5.0 ppm of ozone. Up to 10 samples can be tested simultaneously, and each kit contains enough reagents for 50 tests.

Q: When should I replace my Ozone Testing Kit?

A: The kit has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. For accurate results, ensure all reagents are used before their expiration date and store unused kits in a cool, dry place away from sunlight to preserve sensitivity.

Q: Where can I use this kit for ozone monitoring?

A: This portable kit is ideal for use in water treatment plants, industrial process monitoring, research labs, and anywhere quick ozone detection in water or air is required. Its sturdy packaging and lack of power requirements allow convenient field and laboratory use alike.

Q: What is the process for interpreting test results?

A: After adding the reagents to your sample, observe the rapid color change (within 2 minutes) and use the included color chart to visually match and read the ozone concentration. No electronic display is needed, ensuring simplicity and reliability.

Q: What are the primary benefits of using this testing kit?

A: The benefits include fast and accurate results, portability, simple manual operation, and compliance with IS/ISO 4582:2017 and EN14387 standards. The kit is safe to use, easy to transport, and requires no external power, making it ideal for use in a variety of settings.
